Student Commercial Architect

As a student commercial architect, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and planning of commercial buildings in Svalbard. You will work closely with experienced architects to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the needs of clients. This position requires strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the architectural process, from initial concept development to final construction. This is a part-time position with flexible hours that allows you to balance your studies with valuable work experience in your field.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior architects on design concepts for commercial projects
- Create detailed drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Conduct research on building materials, codes, and regulations
- Assist in preparing project proposals and presentations
- Attend client meetings to gather requirements and present design ideas
- Participate in site visits and inspections during construction phase
- Maintain organized project files and documents

Requirements:
- Current enrollment in an accredited architecture program
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or Revit)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Availability to work 10-20 hours per week during regular business hours

Salary: $1300/month (part-time)
