Instrument Technician- Contract Position (Oslo, Norway)
We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician for a contract position in Oslo, Norway. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments and control systems used in industrial settings. You must have strong technical skills and knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role and hold relevant certifications or qualifications. Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of instruments and control systems
- Troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs as needed
- Conduct routine checks and inspections to ensure proper functioning of instruments
- Interpret technical drawings and manuals to understand instrument specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to identify solutions for complex issues
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any abnormalities or malfunctions
- Adhere to safety regulations at all times while working on site
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate with team members
- Physically fit with the ability to work in confined spaces or at heights if required
- Valid driver's license
Working Conditions:
This is a contract position based in Oslo, Norway. The work schedule may vary depending on project demands but typically follows a regular 40-hour work week. The job may involve working outdoors or in confined spaces, and may require occasional travel to different sites. Personal protective equipment will be provided when necessary.
