Contract Body Repair Master in Svalbard


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Body Repair Master to join our team in Svalbard. As the only body repair shop in the remote city, we handle a variety of repairs for local residents and businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in body repair, including experience with welding, painting, and frame straightening. They should also have excellent communication skills and be able to work well with customers to ensure their satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Perform body repairs on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and motorcycles
- Conduct thorough inspections to determine the extent of damage and necessary repairs
- Use welding equipment to repair damaged frames and panels
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and priming
- Apply paint using spray guns or other techniques to match original color
- Straighten frames using hydraulic equipment or other tools as needed
- Communicate effectively with customers about repair options and timelines
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records for billing purposes

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in body repair preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Body Repair Master
- Extensive knowledge of welding techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with various types of paints and application methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods of time

We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per month for this contract position. As an added bonus, we provide free visa sponsorship and roundtrip airfare to Svalbard.
