Front-End Developer (Contract) - Svalbard


We are currently hiring a skilled Front-End Developer to join our growing team on a contract basis in Svalbard. As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for our web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies.

Responsibilities:
- Develop user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end design and functionality
- Optimize website performance for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility across different platforms
- Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends
- Troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise during development

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in front-end web development
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Experience working with responsive design principles
- Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation
- Knowledge of SEO best practices is a plus
- Biometric passport or ability to obtain one is required for international travel
