As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's network and computer systems. Your main duties will include configuring, monitoring, and optimizing network performance, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise. You will also be responsible for maintaining system security and ensuring data backup and recovery processes are in place.

To excel in this role, you should have strong technical skills in networking, server administration, and system security. Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows or Linux is essential, as well as experience with virtualization technologies. You should also have excellent problem-solving abilities and be able to work independently.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Configuring and maintaining network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitoring network performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Troubleshooting network issues and implementing solutions in a timely manner.
- Managing user accounts and permissions for network resources.
- Ensuring proper data backup procedures are in place to prevent data loss.
- Maintaining server hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
- Implementing security measures to protect the company's network from cyber threats.
- Collaborating with other IT professionals to develop IT policies and procedures.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience working as a Network or Systems Administrator
- Strong technical knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems is a plus
- Experience with network security protocols (VPN, firewalls)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills

This is a part-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month. The job does not include accommodation, so applicants must be able to commute to our office in Os, Norway. This is an urgent position and we are looking for someone who can start immediately.
