Entry-Level Turner in Oslo, Norway


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Entry-Level Turner to join our team in Oslo, Norway. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to shape metal parts to precise specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with limited experience in the field to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust, and operate various machine tools such as lathes, grinders, and drills
- Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances for each part
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments as needed
- Inspect completed parts for quality assurance before sending them for further processing or assembly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including performing routine maintenance on machines
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred
- Prior experience working with metalworking machinery is a plus but not required
- Basic understanding of precision measurements (micrometers, calipers)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit with ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

Salary:
This is a contract job offering a starting salary of 1200 USD per month. Accommodation will be provided.
