Head Pastry Chef
A renowned bakery in Manama is seeking a skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to oversee our pastry department. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing delicious and visually appealing pastries, cakes, and desserts. You will also be responsible for managing the pastry team, ensuring quality control, and developing new recipes. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for baking and creativity, as well as excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Manage all aspects of the pastry department including inventory, ordering, and staff scheduling
- Develop new recipes and create seasonal menus
- Ensure quality control by regularly tasting products and providing feedback to staff
- Train and mentor pastry team members
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creative with an eye for detail
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Manama
