Pastry Chef in Svalbard



We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team in Svalbard. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts for our guests. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts
- Decorate pastries with icing, glazes, toppings, or other decorations
- Create new recipes and adapt existing ones to meet dietary restrictions or preferences
- Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is functioning properly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station
- Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of dishes
- Train new pastry staff members on techniques and recipes
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies
- Adhere to food safety standards at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Creativity in designing pastries that are both delicious and visually appealing
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Experience with managing inventory and ordering supplies
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently
- Food handler's permit or certification from an accredited culinary school preferred

Salary: 1300$

Location: Svalbard (Accommodation may be provided)
