Sous Chef - Nepali Cuisine (English Speaking)
Location: Sheduva, Nepal
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant specializing in Nepali cuisine. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and creating unique dishes, as well as excellent communication skills in English.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the head chef in menu planning and creation of new dishes
- Oversee kitchen operations and coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth service
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Monitor and maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a sous chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel, preferably with experience in Nepali cuisine
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal) for effective communication with team members, management, and customers
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavors, ingredients, and presentation skills specific to Nepali cuisine
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and high levels of quality
- Good leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop team members
Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
