Network and Systems Administrator

As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the network and systems infrastructure of our company in Svalbard. This is a contract position with visa sponsorship available, making it suitable for freshers looking to start their career in this field.

Your main duties will include monitoring network performance, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring the security of our systems. You will also be responsible for installing and configuring new hardware and software, as well as performing regular maintenance and updates. Additionally, you will handle user support requests and provide training on new technologies when necessary.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of network protocols and system administration, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. Experience with Cisco routers and switches, Windows and Linux servers, and virtualization technologies is preferred. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices is also beneficial.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team, and has excellent communication skills. A degree in computer science or a related field is required for this position.
