Preservation Architect
Our architectural firm in Herzliya is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect with experience in historic preservation and restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preserving cultural heritage and possess strong technical and design skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site evaluations, surveys, and assessments of historic buildings
- Develop preservation plans and strategies for restoration projects
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation work
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and contractors on project teams
- Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to preservation guidelines and standards
- Monitor project progress and budget to ensure timely completion within budget constraints
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation projects
- Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations for historic preservation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software programs
- Strong design skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred:
- Experience working in Africa or other developing countries
- Fluency in English
- Experience with adaptive reuse projects
- Willingness to relocate to Herzliya
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
