We are hiring a talented Database Administrator to join our team in Ashdod. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's database systems. Your role will include creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting databases, as well as ensuring data security and integrity. You will also be responsible for backing up data and implementing disaster recovery plans.

To excel in this role, you should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with database management systems such as MySQL or Oracle. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Additionally, knowledge of database security protocols and experience with data backup and recovery procedures is essential.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Implement backup and recovery processes
- Ensure data security by setting up access controls
- Optimize database design for better performance
- Create scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimum database performance
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure compatibility of databases with other applications
- Keep up-to-date on emerging database technologies and trends
- Train employees on proper use of the databases

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Experience with MySQL, Oracle, or other relational databases
- Knowledge of database security protocols such as encryption and access controls
- Familiarity with disaster recovery procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
