Restaurant Manager (Malayalee Preferred)


Our busy restaurant in Bungoma is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee our daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a successful restaurant, as well as excellent customer service skills. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Malayalam language is preferred. This position is open to foreigners, and we will provide visa assistance if needed.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management
- Train and supervise staff members to ensure high levels of customer service and efficiency
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area and kitchen
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Create weekly schedules for staff based on business needs
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items or make changes to existing ones

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Knowledge of Malayalam is preferred but not required.
- Proven track record of increasing sales and profitability
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management, budgeting, and cost control
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
- Valid work permit or willingness to obtain one
