Tiler Assistant

As a Tiler Assistant, you will work alongside experienced tilers to assist with various aspects of tile installation. Your main responsibilities will include preparing surfaces for tiling, mixing and applying adhesives, cutting and laying tiles, and cleaning up work areas. This is a contract position with the opportunity for full-time employment based on performance. No prior experience is required, but a willingness to learn and strong attention to detail are essential. This job is open to women of any nationality who are currently living in Washington and have valid work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for tiling by removing old tiles, filling in holes or cracks, and cleaning the area
- Mix adhesives according to instructions and apply them evenly to surfaces
- Cut tiles to fit around fixtures or in tight spaces using appropriate tools
- Lay tiles in a neat and precise manner while ensuring they are level and evenly spaced
- Clean up work areas by removing excess grout, adhesive, and other debris
- Assist with any other tasks as directed by the lead tiler

Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) as needed
- Must have valid work authorization in the United States

Salary:
Starting salary for this contract position is $1700 per month.
