Phlebotomist for Contract Position in Al-Khor, Qatar

Our medical facility in Al-Khor, Qatar is seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team on a contract basis. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting and preparing blood samples from patients for various medical tests and procedures. This is a great opportunity for an English-speaking individual with experience in phlebotomy who is looking to work in a dynamic and diverse environment.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and explain the phlebotomy process to them
- Identify patient information and ensure all specimens are labeled accurately
- Perform venipuncture or fingersticks to collect blood samples
- Properly dispose of used needles and other sharp objects
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the phlebotomy area
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Keep detailed records of patient information, test results, and other relevant data

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in phlebotomy preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Phlebotomist in a medical setting
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Filipino language is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with handling specimens
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
- Must be able to obtain a free visa and ticket for employment in Qatar
