Driver Supervisor - Nakuru, Kenya


A reputable transportation company in Nakuru is seeking a highly organized and experienced Driver Supervisor to oversee and manage a team of drivers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of driving laws and regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of drivers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure all drivers are following company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Review daily schedules and assign routes to drivers based on workload and availability.
- Monitor driver performance, including punctuality, efficiency, and customer service.
- Conduct regular training sessions for drivers to improve their skills and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Oversee the purchase of fuel and other necessary supplies for the vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of driver activities, including mileage, fuel usage, and expenses.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise between drivers or with customers.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in logistics or transportation management preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a driver supervisor or in a similar role.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of driving laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using computer programs such as Microsoft Office and GPS navigation systems.
