Power Engineer - Malindi, Kenya

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Engineer to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of power systems and equipment. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing power systems for various projects
- Conducting feasibility studies and making recommendations for new power systems
- Overseeing the installation and commissioning of power equipment
- Monitoring the performance of power systems and troubleshooting any issues that arise
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Managing maintenance schedules for all power systems and equipment
- Training and supervising junior engineers and technicians

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles and codes/regulations
- Experience with project management and budgeting is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency is preferred but not required

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position based in Malindi, Kenya. The working schedule may vary depending on project deadlines but typically consists of 40 hours per week. The salary is 1100$ per month. The successful candidate will be responsible for finding their own accommodation.
