Junior Civil Engineer
As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will work on various projects under the supervision of senior engineers. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the planning, design, and construction of buildings, roads, bridges, and other structures. You will also be responsible for conducting surveys, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and implementation of civil engineering projects
- Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather information for project planning
- Prepare technical reports and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and project timelines
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and other regulations
- Collaborate with other engineers and professionals to ensure successful project completion
- Monitor construction progress and provide technical support as needed
- Perform quality control checks to ensure project specifications are met
- Communicate with clients to provide updates on project progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Proficient in using CAD software for drafting and design purposes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or work experience in civil engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software
- Knowledge of building codes and safety standards
