Executive Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Utena. This is a contract job with a salary of 1700$. As an Indian restaurant, we are looking for someone with experience in Indian cuisine and knowledge of traditional Indian spices and cooking techniques. The ideal candidate should have excellent English speaking skills and be able to communicate effectively with the kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary
- Oversee food preparation to ensure quality, consistency, and timeliness
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new menu items and specials
- Ensure compliance with sanitary regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse kitchen staff
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Biometric passport or valid work permit for Utena (if not an Indian national)
