Executive Chef



We are searching for a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury resort in Svalbard. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences, extensive knowledge of international cuisine, and the ability to lead a team of chefs to deliver outstanding dishes. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and budget management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain menus that showcase local ingredients and flavors while also incorporating international influences
- Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production and service
- Oversee inventory management and control food costs to meet budget goals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and create unique dining experiences for guests
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into the kitchen's operations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of international cuisine and trends
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards success
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Norwegian is a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Valid biometric passport or the ability to obtain one
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1500$ per week.
