Librarian for English-Speaking School in Al Buraymi

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team at an English-speaking school in Al Buraymi. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the school library, assisting students and teachers with research and finding resources, and promoting a love of reading and learning among students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the school library, including cataloging books, maintaining records, and updating the collection as needed
- Assist students and teachers with research projects by helping them find relevant resources and teaching them how to use library databases and other tools effectively
- Promote a love of reading among students by organizing book clubs, author visits, and other activities that encourage reading for pleasure
- Collaborate with teachers to support their curriculum by providing resources that align with their lessons
- Ensure the library is a welcoming space for students by maintaining a clean and organized environment
- Train student library assistants to help with daily tasks such as shelving books and checking them out to borrowers
- Stay informed about current trends in education, technology, and literature in order to continually improve the library's offerings

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Librarian in an academic setting
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members
- Knowledge of library systems and databases
- Passion for promoting reading among young people

This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month. We welcome applications from Canadians, Filipinos or any other nationality who are fluent in English.
