Job Title: Freelance Interpreter


We are seeking a skilled and reliable Freelance Interpreter to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a freelance interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and professional interpretation services for clients in various settings. This is a contract job open to all nationalities and does not require prior experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services for clients in business meetings, conferences, legal proceedings, medical appointments, and other settings
- Accurately convey the meaning of spoken words between two or more parties
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Research and familiarize yourself with specialized terminology to ensure accurate interpretation
- Utilize interpreting equipment as needed
- Adapt to different communication styles and cultural sensitivities
- Maintain professionalism and punctuality at all times

Requirements:
- Fluency in English and at least one other language
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the language pair’s grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions
- Ability to accurately interpret cultural nuances
- Flexibility to work on an on-call basis
- Strong time management skills

Salary:
This is a contract job with a competitive salary of 1700$ per month. Please note that this is subject to change based on experience and qualifications.

Location:
The job is located in Alta, Norway but can also involve travel to various locations within the country.
