Head Chef
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to join our team at a luxury restaurant in the beautiful city of Bergen. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of chefs, creating innovative menus, and ensuring the highest quality of food is consistently delivered to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and train a team of chefs to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation
- Create and update menus with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu items
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and mentor team members
- Creative flair for developing new dishes while also maintaining classic dishes
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for producing high-quality food
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
City: Bergen, Norway (candidates with EU/EEA nationality preferred)
