Preservation Architect



Our architecture firm in Bergen is seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per week.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine their condition and preservation needs
- Develop plans for restoration and preservation projects, including cost estimates, materials selection, and construction methods
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to ensure the successful completion of preservation projects
- Oversee the restoration process, including monitoring progress, addressing any issues that arise, and ensuring compliance with historical preservation guidelines
- Conduct research on historical buildings and their architectural styles to inform restoration plans
- Maintain accurate records of all preservation projects for future reference

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Extensive knowledge of historical architecture styles and building materials
- Familiarity with local regulations and guidelines for historical preservation
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Historic Preservation or related field
- Experience working with government agencies or non-profit organizations on historic preservation projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural software
