Job Title: Excavator Operator

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in Svalbard. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience operating excavators and a strong understanding of excavation techniques and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavator to move earth, rocks, gravel, or other materials according to project specifications
- Collaborate with team members on site to ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment
- Conduct daily maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or damages to supervisor
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures while operating machinery
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and hours worked

Requirements:
- Minimum two years of experience operating excavators
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Strong understanding of excavation techniques and safety procedures
- Physical ability to operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in construction or excavation projects in remote locations
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques for heavy machinery
- Prior experience working with different types of excavators
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications or licenses as required by the job
