We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions and reporting for our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards
- Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management for cost-saving measures or revenue opportunities
- Oversee budgeting process and work closely with department heads to ensure budgets are adhered to
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax authorities, and banks
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- CPA certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven experience managing budgets and financial planning processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance professionals and non-finance stakeholders
- Experience working with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
