Data Mining Specialist

As a Data Mining Specialist, you will be responsible for extracting and analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and trends. Your main goal will be to help our company make informed decisions by providing valuable insights from the collected data. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective data mining strategies, as well as design and maintain databases for data storage and retrieval. This position is suitable for men with no prior experience, as training will be provided. Accommodation and visa sponsorship will also be provided for the right candidate. This role is based in the city of Alta, Norway.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize various data mining techniques to extract meaningful insights from large datasets
- Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations
- Develop and implement efficient data mining strategies
- Design and maintain databases for efficient storage and retrieval of data
- Collaborate with other team members to understand business needs and provide relevant insights
- Prepare reports and visualizations to present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments in data mining techniques and tools

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or other programming languages used for data analysis
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of database design principles
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Prior experience in data mining is a plus but not required
