Junior Data Mining Analyst - Alta, Norway (Contract)


We are searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Mining Analyst to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. As a Junior Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting our data mining efforts and helping us uncover valuable insights from large datasets. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to understand business needs and objectives
- Collect, organize and analyze large datasets using advanced data mining techniques
- Identify patterns and trends in data to help inform decision making
- Develop and maintain databases for efficient storage and retrieval of data
- Create visualizations and reports to present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Continuously monitor data quality to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and new technologies related to data mining

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Proficient in SQL, Python or R for data manipulation and analysis
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms is a plus
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information in a non-technical manner

Working Conditions:
This is a contract position based in Alta, Norway. The working hours are flexible but will require occasional evening or weekend work. This position does not provide accommodation, therefore we prefer candidates who are already based in Alta or willing to relocate at their own expense.

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1000$ per month.
