Indian Pastry Chef in Malindi
We are seeking a skilled Indian Pastry Chef to join our team in the beautiful coastal city of Malindi. As an Indian Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of traditional Indian pastries, desserts, and other sweet treats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new dessert recipes inspired by traditional Indian flavors and ingredients
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts
- Decorate and present pastries in an attractive and appealing manner
- Ensure high-quality standards are maintained at all times
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs in the kitchen
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ingredients needed for pastry production
- Collaborate with other chefs to create menus for special events or occasions
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, with a focus on Indian cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Indian desserts and pastries
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and guide junior chefs
- Excellent time management skills to ensure orders are completed on time
- Creativity and passion for experimenting with new flavors and techniques
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality presentation of pastries
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month. Additional benefits such as housing accommodations may be provided.
