Head Chef
Are you a skilled and experienced chef looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are currently seeking a Head Chef to join our team in Medina. Our company specializes in providing authentic Kenyan cuisine to customers, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for food and culture.
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen operations, creating new menus, and training and supervising kitchen staff. You will also be responsible for maintaining food quality standards and ensuring all health and safety regulations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Develop creative and innovative menus that showcase Kenyan cuisine
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high-quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a chef, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan cuisine and culinary techniques
- Ability to create unique menus while also catering to dietary restrictions or preferences
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate staff
- Strong understanding of food cost control and inventory management
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month for this full-time position.
