Computer Research Scientist - Biometric Passport Development
Location: Bergen, Norway (open to candidates of any nationality)


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computer Research Scientist to join our team in developing cutting-edge biometric passport technology. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing algorithms for biometric data processing, testing and optimizing systems, and contributing to the overall development of our biometric passport solution. The ideal candidate will have experience in computer vision, machine learning, and image processing, as well as a strong understanding of biometric authentication techniques. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on computer vision, machine learning, and image processing techniques for biometric data processing
- Design and implement algorithms for data analysis and feature extraction from biometric data
- Develop software modules for biometric systems integration
- Test and optimize biometric systems performance using various metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of our biometric passport solution
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in computer vision, machine learning, and image processing technologies

Requirements:
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in computer vision, machine learning or image processing research or development
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++
- Strong understanding of biometric authentication techniques (e.g. face recognition)
- Experience with biometric data acquisition devices (e.g. cameras)
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Fluent English communication skills
