Contract Painter
Location: Bergen, Norway


We are in need of a skilled and experienced Contract Painter to join our team in Bergen, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for painting various surfaces and structures according to specifications and ensuring high-quality results. You will also be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, selecting the appropriate materials and tools, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a painter, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, filling holes, and washing with water or solvent
- Select the appropriate paint or coating material based on surface type and specifications
- Apply paint or coating material using brushes, rollers or sprayers
- Ensure smooth application of paint by using techniques such as sponging or stenciling
- Maintain a clean work area by covering floors with drop cloths and removing any excess paint or debris
- Inspect surfaces for imperfections and make necessary repairs before painting
- Follow safety measures to prevent accidents or injuries while working with paints or chemicals
- Communicate with clients to understand their painting needs and preferences

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a painter with a portfolio of previous work
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform tasks that require bending or reaching overhead
- Good communication skills in English (Norwegian proficiency is a plus)
- Own basic tools (brushes, rollers) preferred but not required

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1500$ per month. Accommodation will be provided by the company.

Contract Type:
This is a contract job with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Visa Requirements:
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Norway.

Freshers:
Freshers with a strong passion for painting and a willingness to learn will also be considered for this position.
