Long Haul Truck Driver



We are a well-established trucking company in Eldoret, seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery. You should have good knowledge of road safety regulations and excellent driving skills. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL license and at least 2 years of experience in long haul truck driving. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided. Visa sponsorship is available for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Transport goods across long distances, following all safety regulations
- Plan routes and delivery schedules to meet deadlines
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers using CB radios or other communication devices
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation and maintenance
- Follow traffic laws and regulations at all times

Requirements:
- Valid CDL license with clean driving record
- At least 2 years of experience as a long haul truck driver
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations
- Excellent driving skills in various weather conditions and terrains
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work long hours and travel overnight when needed
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading of cargo
