Junior Fitter

We are in search of a skilled and motivated Junior Fitter to join our team in Svalbard. As a Junior Fitter, you will work under the supervision of experienced fitters and be responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the field of fitting.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems
- Follow instructions from experienced fitters to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently
- Perform regular inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assigned tasks
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training or certification in fitting is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and their components
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects as needed
- Willingness to learn from experienced fitters and take on new challenges

Salary:
This position offers a salary of $1500 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Svalbard. While local candidates are preferred, we are open to considering candidates from other locations who are willing to relocate at their own expense.
