Database Administrator


As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's databases, ensuring their security, availability, and performance. You will also be involved in database design, development, and troubleshooting. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient functioning of our data systems and supporting the organization's data needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing database structures and schemas
- Monitoring database performance and optimizing for maximum efficiency
- Ensuring data security through regular backups and disaster recovery planning
- Troubleshooting database issues and providing timely resolutions
- Implementing data access controls, user permissions, and data encryption
- Collaborating with software developers to integrate new applications with existing databases
- Performing regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and upgrades
- Providing technical support to end-users for database-related issues
- Conducting regular audits to identify potential issues or areas for improvement

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with database design, development, implementation, and maintenance
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and execution
- Proficient in data backup/restore procedures and tools
- Knowledge of data access control methods and best practices for data security
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to databases efficiently
and effectively
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred:
- Certification in relevant database management systems (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python) for automating tasks

Salary: $1300 per month
City: Sheduva
Nationality: Pakistani/Canadian (Preference, not a strict requirement)

This is a full-time position with the option for remote work. We also offer visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.
