Survey Technician (Part-Time)
We are seeking a highly motivated Land Surveyor to join our team on a part-time basis in Alta, Norway. As a Survey Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the surveying team with data collection, processing and analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the field of land surveying.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the surveying team with setting up and operating surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels
- Collect and record accurate data in the field using various techniques such as GPS, robotic total stations, and electronic data collectors
- Perform basic calculations to process collected data
- Assist with creating maps, drawings and reports using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment
- Ensure that all work is completed according to established standards and procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project success
Requirements:
- Biometric passport or ability to obtain one is a must
- Previous experience in land surveying is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficient in the use of surveying equipment and CAD software
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically fit to carry out manual tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work part-time hours
