Slinger/Load Supervisor

As a Slinger/Load Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of various materials on construction sites. Your main duties will include coordinating and directing the work of the slingers, ensuring safe and efficient movement of materials, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires physical strength, good communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. This is a contract position with a starting salary of $1400 per month in the city of Split. This job is suitable for men and does not require English or previous experience. As a Slinger/Load Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating and directing the work of slingers to ensure efficient loading and unloading of materials
- Inspecting materials for damage before loading them onto trucks or other vehicles
- Ensuring that materials are loaded safely and securely to prevent damage during transportation
- Maintaining accurate records of all loaded and unloaded materials
- Communicating with site managers to determine material requirements for each project
- Operating heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, or hoists when necessary
- Supervising the rigging process to ensure safe lifting and movement of heavy loads
- Following all safety protocols and regulations on site to prevent accidents or injuries
- Training new slingers on proper techniques for loading and unloading materials

Requirements:

- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Good communication skills to direct the work of others effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience as a Slinger or Load Supervisor preferred but not required
- Valid certification for operating heavy machinery (e.g. crane operator license)
- Knowledge of safety protocols for working on construction sites
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
