Sous Chef
The role of a Sous Chef is to assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to high standards. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for managing and training kitchen staff, creating menus and recipes, ordering supplies, and maintaining food safety standards. You must have strong leadership skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have excellent time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to high standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff
- Create menus and recipes
- Order supplies and maintain inventory
- Ensure food safety standards are met
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure smooth service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Creativity in developing menus and recipes
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Location: Manama, Bahrain (Preference for Bahraini or GCC Nationality)
Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable depending on experience)
