Pastry Chef
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods. They will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes meet the highest quality standards and are presented in an appealing manner. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and possess strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a wide variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure consistency and quality
- Develop new dessert recipes while also maintaining classic favorites
- Manage inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed
- Train and supervise pastry assistants
- Collaborate with other chefs to create well-rounded menus
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Pastry Chef or relevant role
- Formal culinary training or degree in Baking/Pastry Arts preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and recipes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Creativity and ability to develop new dessert ideas
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Food safety certification preferred
Salary: $1100/month
Location: Utena, Canada (open to Canadian citizens)
