Puncher for Contract Job in Bungoma, Kenya


A reputable construction company in Bungoma, Kenya is seeking an experienced Puncher to join their team on a contract basis. As a Puncher, you will be responsible for creating holes and indentations in metal and other materials using manual or automated punching machines. Your main duties will include setting up and operating the punching machine, reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, measuring and marking materials, and ensuring that all punched pieces meet quality standards.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Puncher
- Proven ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with different types of punching machines
- Good math skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit to handle heavy materials

Responsibilities:
- Set up the punching machine according to specifications provided in technical drawings
- Measure and mark materials for punching
- Operate the punching machine manually or using computer-controlled systems
- Monitor the quality of punched pieces to ensure they meet required standards
- Make adjustments to the machine as needed for optimal performance
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the punching process
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Working Conditions:
This is a contract job with a salary of $1100 per month. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8am - 5pm. This position does not include accommodation. Applicants must be fluent in English and have legal authorization to work in Kenya.
