Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team in Svalbard. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for constructing and assembling metal structures and products according to specifications and blueprints. This is a contract position with a salary of $1800 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Cut, shape, or bend metal pieces using hand tools, power tools, or machinery
- Weld, solder, or rivet components together to assemble structural pieces
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Operate machinery such as shears, presses, and grinders to fabricate metal parts
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working with metal materials

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques and equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings accurately
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and bending metal pieces
- Experience with welding, soldering, riveting, and other fabrication techniques
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials
- Willingness to work on a contract basis without accommodation
