Instrument Technician
We are hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of instruments used in industrial settings. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of 1600$, as well as opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of instruments such as gauges, meters, sensors, and control systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments to ensure proper functioning
- Calibrate and adjust instruments according to specifications
- Test new instruments and make necessary adjustments before installation
- Keep detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed on instruments
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and solve complex instrument issues
- Follow all safety protocols while working with instruments
Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in Instrumentation or related field
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
- Knowledge of different types of instruments used in industrial settings
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used for troubleshooting instrument issues
- Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills in English (Filipino language proficiency is a plus)
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions if needed
Preferred:
- Experience working with biometric passports or other security-related instruments
- Previous experience working with women-led teams
