Head Chef - Indian Cuisine (St-Petersburg, Russia)
As the Head Chef of our Indian restaurant in St-Petersburg, Russia, you will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen team to deliver authentic and high-quality Indian cuisine. Your creativity, passion for food, and strong leadership skills will be key in maintaining our restaurant's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new dishes while maintaining the authenticity and quality of traditional Indian cuisine
- Oversee the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Monitor food costs and maintain profitability by minimizing waste
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus and specials
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns related to food quality or dietary restrictions
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in an Indian restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian cuisine, spices, and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (Russian language skills are a plus)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
