Experienced Barista in Eldoret, Kenya


We are a busy café located in the vibrant city of Eldoret, Kenya, looking for an experienced Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages to our customers. We are specifically seeking someone with at least 2 years of experience as a Barista, who is able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve hot and cold coffee and tea beverages according to customer preferences
- Maintain stock levels and ensure all necessary supplies are on hand
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment necessary for making coffee drinks
- Take orders from customers and accurately process payments
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work area at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Train new employees on coffee making techniques and maintain quality standards

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Barista in a busy café or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of different types of coffee beans, roasts, brewing methods, etc.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly manner
- Attention to detail to ensure drinks are made accurately according to customer preferences
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Indian or foreign nationality with legal authorization to work in Kenya
- Fluent English speaker
- Experience working in temporary or seasonal jobs
- Willingness to live in provided accommodation
- Students studying hospitality or related fields are encouraged to apply
