Junior Developer (Svalbard, Contract)


We are in search of a talented and motivated Junior Developer to join our team in Svalbard. As a Junior Developer, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of software applications. This is an urgent job opportunity with a salary of $1600 per month and does not include accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the design, coding, and testing of software applications
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues in existing software
- Collaborating with senior developers to develop new features and functionality
- Conducting research to stay updated on industry trends and best practices
- Following coding standards and implementing quality control measures
- Providing technical support to end users when needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, C++, Python)
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB)
- Experience working with web development frameworks (e.g. AngularJS, React)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills

Preferred:
- Experience with mobile app development (iOS or Android)
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools (e.g. Docker, Jenkins)
- Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles
