Indian Chef - Khasab
The Indian Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes in our restaurant located in Khasab. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and be able to create traditional dishes with a modern twist. They must also have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and be able to handle high volume orders while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Prepare ingredients for cooking according to recipes or special dietary needs
- Cook dishes using various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, and baking
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely manner
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Train junior kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety guidelines
- Comply with all food hygiene and safety regulations
- Follow restaurant policies and procedures regarding portion control, waste management, etc.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an Indian Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create new dishes while maintaining traditional flavors
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in English
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Salary: 1600$
Location: Khasab (Preference for Indian nationality)
Language: English (must be able to speak English fluently)
