Turner - Metal Fabricator



A metal fabrication company in Nairobi is seeking a skilled Turner to join our team. We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced individual who can work with various types of metal materials to create high-quality products. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Operate various machines and tools such as lathes, grinders, and drills to shape and cut metal materials according to specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the dimensions and tolerances of the final product
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy of the finished product
- Monitor the production process to identify any defects or issues that may arise
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification in metal fabrication or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Turner in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong knowledge of different types of metals, their properties, and how they can be manipulated for fabrication purposes
- Familiarity with operating machines and tools used in metal fabrication processes
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Preference will be given to candidates who are English-speaking or have prior experience working in an English-speaking environment.
