Hotel Sales Manager-Contract Position (Bergen)



As a Hotel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth through effective marketing and sales strategies. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and maintaining existing accounts. You will work closely with the hotel management team to develop and implement sales plans that align with the hotel's overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other potential customers.
- Identify new business opportunities by conducting market research and participating in industry events.
- Create and execute sales plans to increase revenue from both existing and new markets.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable deals for the hotel.
- Collaborate with the hotel management team to develop pricing strategies that maximize profits while remaining competitive in the market.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in sales strategies.
- Train and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and provide excellent customer service.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the hotel's services.
- Prepare reports on sales activities, revenue performance, and market trends for presentation to senior management.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals successfully.
- Knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the hospitality industry.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Requirements:

While not required, candidates who possess the following qualifications will have an advantage:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Experience working in Bergen or knowledge of the local market.
- Fluency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
- Familiarity with hotel management software and CRM systems.

Salary:

The salary for this contract position is $1200 per month, with the possibility of a performance-based bonus. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.
