Job Title: Contract Accountant - Os, Nigeria


We are in search of a detail-oriented and highly organized Contract Accountant to join our team in Os, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in financial analysis and reporting. This is a contract position requiring a biometric passport or work permit.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Handle tax compliance and assist with audits
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Communicate with internal teams to gather necessary information for financial reporting
- Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for discrepancies
- Develop financial forecasts based on historical data and market trends
- Adhere to all accounting standards, regulations, and laws

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quickbooks, SAP, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Biometric passport or work permit for Nigeria
