Executive Chef

The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the kitchen operations in our high-end restaurant in Nakuru. They will be expected to use their culinary expertise to create unique and innovative dishes that will delight our guests. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fine dining establishment and possess strong leadership skills to manage and train a team of chefs. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and execute creative menus that showcase seasonal ingredients and highlight global flavors.
- Oversee all food preparation, ensuring high-quality standards are met at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary ingredients.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with management to develop cost-effective menus while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation.
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also executing classic recipes flawlessly.
- Ability to manage a team of chefs, ensuring they work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and collaborate with management.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred but not required.

Salary: 1600$
Location: Nakuru (preference for English-speaking foreigners)
